Do You Know The Surface Treatment Of Screws?

Any metal exposed to air for too long tends to oxidize over time. Below we list the different manufacturing processes used and modulated on the basis of the needs of our customers.

As one of the important fasteners, screws generally use different surface treatment processes to meet customer requirements. Hope the following information will be useful to you.


  1. Zinc plating.

Galvanizing can be divided into cold galvanizing, mechanical galvanizing and hot galvanizing, of which hot galvanizing is the most popular. Hot galvanizing, also known as hot-dip galvanizing, is to immerse the rust-removed steel parts into zinc solution of about 500℃. In this way, the surface of the workpiece is attached with a zinc layer, which serves the purpose of anti-corrosion. The advantages of hot dip galvanizing are as follows:

  • Strong anti-corrosion ability.
  • Better adhesion and hardness of the galvanized layer.
  • The amount of zinc is large, and the thickness of the zinc layer is dozens of times of cold galvanizing.
  • Cheaper and more environmentally friendly.


2.Surface phosphating.

Surface phosphating is a very inexpensive surface treatment used as a primer before painting.

  • The main purpose is to provide protection to the metal and prevent the metal from being corroded to a certain extent.
  • Improve the adhesion of paint film.
  • Reduce friction and lubrication during metal cold working.


3.Dacromet is a new type of anti-corrosion coating, which is the best technology to replace the traditional electro-galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing which have serious environmental pollution. Its advantages are as follows:

  • Superior corrosion resistance: the rust resistance effect is 7-10 times higher than traditional galvanizing.
  • There is no hydrogen embrittlement phenomenon, which is very suitable for the coating of stressed parts.
  • High heat resistance, the heat resistance temperature can reach above 300℃.
  • Good adhesion and recoating performance
  • No waste water and waste gas will be generated during the production process.
